Same Day Nurse Practitioner Clinic

It is not a Walk-In Clinic.  A same-day clinic is similar to a Walk-In Clinic but instead of "walking in", you call our dedicated phoneline at 705-461-8882 ext. 2 and you will be given an appointment time on the "same day" that you wish to be seen.  The clinic is located on the first floor of the ELNOS building and will welcome all patients with appointments, including those without a regular doctor or nurse practitioner.

You may call our dedicated phoneline for an appointment beginning at 8:30am every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  The phoneline will be answered until all available same day openings are filled.  Each day a pre-recorded message will inform patients once the clinic is no longer taking appointments.

The same-day clinic is for patients that need to be seen ASAP for minor problems such as rashes, bladder infections, earaches, minor injuries or, minor aches and pains.  Prescription renewals for non-controlled medications and requisitions for lab work can also be provided.  Patients rostered at the Family Health Team are asked to please continue to book an appointment with their Primary Health Care Provider to complete forms, physicals and driver's medicals.

If you are experiencing a cough, sore throat, fever or any other COVID-19 symptoms, you will be advised to contact the COVID-19 assessment team.

The same-day clinic is not intended for medical emergencies.  Be sure to go to the Emergency Department if you are experiencing chest pains, stroke symptoms, moderate to severe respiratory distress (shortness of breath, COPD or asthma attack), severe stomach pain, a mental health issue, a pregnancy complaint, or any medical emergency that may require urgent testing or admission to hospital.  If you are unsure if you are experiencing an emergency, seek advice from a Registered Nurse at Health Connect Ontario by calling 811.

Appointments are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
